A truly amazing donation from Newtonhill Parish Church, so very kind Mon 5th
We have been very lucky in receiving a wonderful donation from the Church of Scotland, Newtonhill Parish Church. Having been contacted by the lovely Zoe, she announced that they wished to transfer the amount of £269 to the Street Friends helping the homeless account, which was done yesterday.
These funds will be utilised by the new committee to support the ongoing work already being done by Street Friends.
"On Sundays 13th and 20th December Newtonhill Parish Church had retiral collections for Street Friends and raised £215. We had hoped to have a collection on 27th December also, but Tier 4 meant we could not hold our usual service. We were also to claim back the Gift Aid Tax allowance on this sum through the GASDS scheme (£54). This brings the total to £269 which I have today bank transferred into account 73940020, sort code 202924
We know that this will be put to good use in your very worthwhile organisation and are very happy to support your amazing work with the homeless in Aberdeen.
We wish you God’s blessings in your work.", Zoë Ashby (treasurer)
We cannot thank them enough for this assistance. This will enable around 70, of the 3-400 food parcels issued weekly to be created. It just shows that every bit of kindness, can make a huge difference indeed.
