Biggest thanks to Bradley & team, incredible 12-hour night-walk 19th-20th Nov & ongoing fundraiser!

The team completed the 12-hour night-walk, from 6pm 19th Nov, to 6am 20th Nov. This was on behalf of Men Matter Scotland and Street Friends, from an initiative started by these determined young men. It was done during #movember on #InternationalMensDay.

We cannot thank Bradley, Kurtis, Jamie - along with ongoing lads from Aberdeen West End Football Club, changing out one at a time, enough!! Then our very own Justin Ritchie joined in after midnight, which was perfect timing as we were lagging a bit by then!! Well I say we, I think it was mostly (Sam)!! This was conducted in a very safe, #covid19 aware way, which was extremely impressively done. All their own initiative.

The fundraiser is ongoing, you can still help by donating - HERE, Read about it in P&J - HERE

There will be 2 Special events thanks to these inspiring young men, these will be our Friday 25th Dec Xmas breakfast outreach and our Friday 1st Jan New Year day breakfast outreach. More on those soon, they are already add on event on Facebook HERE and HERE

There are lots of photos, and Bradley and the team will do a special video of those compiled with video blogs from several people. Keep an eye out for that coming up towards end of Dec, as well as their presentation of items to Street Friends, as well as the other half going Men Matter Scotland.

Incredible #communityspirit we cannot thank them all enough. But another huge thanks from Justin and all the team at Street Friends, and those most in need the donation will directly help.

Please note we cannot support any larger events presently, but welcome small risk assessed events such as these.

West End Football Club are one of our charity partners, they have helped ongoing during our relaunch. This idea was the brain child of Andrea Muirhead, Aberdeen Angels and Scott Macdougall, head coach Aberdeen West End FC.

All of them, including Bradley and family make regular donations too, see some photos below. But be sure to keep an eye out for the video from the lads which will include much more detail (towards end of Dec).

We must thank Rapid Prints & Promotions and Eclipz Traditional Scottish Barbers, who teamed up for ongoing donations, plus provided the flyers we were handing out as well. Contact: Rapid Print and Eclipz a huge thank you to them too, who are proud Street Friends supporters. #supportlocal #communityspirit
