Official relaunch with West END FC guests and press

So our official relaunch of the all new official Street Friends helping the homeless, with befriending, outreach and direct referrals is almost upon us.

Thanks to the lovely Andrea, who helps us regularly with donations, plus the incredible Scott who coaches the West End Football Club U19 team, we came up with a great idea.

So the team will come down as guests and volunteers for the day, to help us promote it. Now officially registered and licensed by ACVO and ACC, with a goal to work towards charity status from that of our new recognised status as an official Community Group within a year, we can do so much more. We already have a volunteers pathway and are fully insured. Additionally we have health and safety policies, risk assessments all in place and much more to come.

The website is slowly developing and we hope to keep adding in more to it.

Although remaining socially distanced we welcome attendance, those volunteering are required to wear masks outside as well as gloves. All our attendees are required to keep their distance, wear masks, and use sanitiser we issue at all times.

This has enabled our working through the entire pandemic being the primary outreach/befriending group for the whole area.

Look forward to seeing you Sunday 20th Sept if you can make it by M&S 2 St Nicholas Street - see Facebook link for more details
